The class will focus on fundamental aspects
of scientific computing including floating point arithmetic, algorithmic
accuracy, conditioning, algorithmic stability, efficiency, and examples. For
detailed information please consult the syllabus.
There will be no written midterm or final
examinations. Grading will be based
on homework, term projects, and a class presentation.
