    • This conference is designed to bring the research and career interests of women in computing to the forefront. Virginia Tech regularly sponsors students to attend this conference.
  • Richard Tapia Celebration of Diversity in Computing Conference (www.tapiaconference.org)
    • The Tapia Conference is aimed at providing a supportive networking environment for under-represented groups across the broad range of computing and information technology, from science to business to the arts to infrastructure. Virginia Tech regularly sponsors students to attend this conference.
  • HENAAC Conference(http://www.henaac.org/)
    • HENAAC is dedicated to enlightening our nation about the achievements of Hispanics in engineering, science, technology, and math; to motivate and educate more students to pursue careers in these fields; to increase the role of the Hispanic community plays in maintaining America's status as the world's technology leader.

    • "The Game Initiative's Women's Game Conference focuses on women in the computer and video game industry. This conference will highlight the importance of women as consumers of games, draw attention to the contributions women bring to the game industry workforce, and create an environment conducive to networking."
  • Leadership Conference (http://www.phisigmapivt.com/leadership/)
    • Virginia Tech has close to one thousand registered student organizations with goals ranging from social to special interest. Of these thousand, no single group has all organizational operations mastered. Each student organization can benefit by exchanging ideas with others because each organization shares common challenges ranging from fundraising to membership recruitment. In order to facilitate an exchange of ideas, Leadership Connection is a one day conference aimed at gathering student leaders to hold discussion based workshops on common issues.
