 The three-year efforts on the establishment of the ACM special interest group on spatial information, known as SIGSPATIAL, have been successful. The official page is now available at: http://www.sigspatial.org/. ACM SIGSPATIAL addresses issues related to the acquisition, management, and processing of spatially-related information with a focus on algorithmic, geometric, and visual considerations. The scope includes, but is not limited to, geographic information systems (GIS). SIGSPATIAL is actively recruiting members.
