December 3, 2007. Upsilon Pi Epsilon (UPE) is the first and only
international honor society for the computing sciences. UPE was founded
at Texas A&M University in 1967. The Alpha Chapter of Virginia was
chartered at Virginia Tech in 1975. New members inducted were Patrick
Butler, Jayton Gill, and Candida Tauro. The induction ceremony was led
by UPE President Uma Murthy, and members Rhonda Phillips and Andrew
Warren. Dr. Osman Balci is the UPE faculty advisor. |
