Dr. Tatar elected to Executive Board of ISLS |

 Dr. Deborah Tatar, associate professor of Computer Science and, by courtesy, Psychology at Virginia Tech, was recently elected to the Executive Board of the International Society of the Learning Sciences (ISLS), a professional society dedicated to interdisciplinary empirical investigation of learning as it exists in real-world settings, and how learning may be facilitated both with and without technology. ISLS sponsors two journals, the Journal of the Learning Sciences (JLS) and the International Journal of Computer-Supported Collaborative Learning (IJCSCL), and two conference series – the International Conference of the Learning Sciences (ICLS) and the International Conference on Computer-Supported Collaborative Learning (CSCL).
