CS majors wishing to graduate In Honors must meet both the requirements for the CS major and the requirements defined by the Honors Program , with the following points of clarification: - The required six hours of Undergraduate Research (CS 4994) may be used to satisfy the CS 4xxx elective requirements or the technical elective requirement. Note that the CS 41xx requirement remains.
- The university limit on the number of Independent Study (IS) or Undergraduate Research (UR) hours used toward graduation is eight. Hence, Honors students will not be able to use additional IS/UR hours to satisfy their CS 4xxx electives, beyond the six hours mentioned above.
- In addition to the overall GPA requirement for graduation In Honors, a CS Honors graduate must achieve a minimum in-major GPA of 3.5 (3.6 for students enrolling in the Honors Program after April 15, 1999).
