Ji-Sun Kim wins 2nd place award at Grace Hopper Research Competition

Ji-Sun Kim, a spring 2013 PhD graduate of the Department of Computer Science, recently won 2nd place at the ACM Grace Hopper Celebration Graduate Student Research Competition. Her entry, "Action-Transferred Design Approach of Navigation Techniques for Effective Spatial Learning in 3D Virtual Environments," describes the core part of her doctoral research, which was done under the direction of Denis Gracanin and Francis Quek.

Ji-Sun will be eligible to participate in the Grand Finals of all the 2013-2014 ACM research competitions, sponsored by Microsoft Research.
