Professor Doug Bowman was awarded a Georgia Tech Graphics, Visualization, and Usability Center's (GVU) Impact Award for "research leadership in the field of Human-Computer Interaction."  Bowman's contributions to 3D user interfaces and "more engaging virtual and augmented reality systems" are cited as examples of the impact of this research.  Bowman received both his MS and PhD degrees from Georgia Tech.
