Elena Nadolinski, a first year student in Computer Science, was one of six young women invited to the White House in December 2011 to discuss recruiting and retaining female students in STEM fields.  Elena was one of approximately thirty-five national NCWIT Aspirations in Computing Award winners.  She recently completed her first semester at Virginia Tech and has officially declared computer science as her major.  Congratulations to Elena.
