Margaret O'Neil Ellis is a teacher who returned to Virginia Tech to earn a Masters degree in Computer Science. Ms. Ellis has a child of her own with special needs and is very passionate about promoting independence and improving the quality of life for people with disabilities and for their families. With strong support from the community, including teachers and parents in the counties surrounding Virginia Tech, and realizing the need for software that is applicable and usable in public school systems, she was inspired to start a company to meet this need.
DevelopEase, LLC was founded on the vision of connecting classrooms and families with disabilities to exciting, innovative new technologies. This vision is inspired by the increasing popularity of hand held devices and the accessibility of applications for such devices. The long term goal of DevelopEase is to improve education and ultimately overall family life.
