IET Best Paper Award

The paper "Hand tracking using a agent-based framework" by Bing Fang, Pak-Kiu Chung, and Francis Quek was awarded that Best External Paper at the 5th International Conference on Visial Information Engineering in Xi'an, China by the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET). The IET, founded in 1871, is the world's oldest professional engineering society.

“The paper describes research in an agent-based approach that facilitates flexible decomposition of Computer Vision solutions. Hand tracking is a critical component in a variety on human-computer interaction and human behavioral analysis technologies,” Quek said.
