As a founding member of the National Center for Women & Information Technology (NCWIT) Pacesetters program, Virginia Tech’s Department of Computer Science in the College of Engineering is striving to increase the number of women in its curriculum.  “Our enrollment of women in our graduate program is actually higher than the national average, but we are still working on our percentage of female undergraduates,” said Barbara Ryder, professor of computer science and the department head.
