SAP Research for the Eastern Region of North America John Ellenberger is currently Director of SAP Research for the Eastern Region of North America. In that role he is responsible for SAP Research collaborations with academia, government and industry that pioneer new technologies for future SAP software products. John's other responsibilities with include managing a research lab in Montreal Canada, providing technical leadership for research into mobile technology, and helping create the long-term vision forthe research team.Before joining SAP John was Director of Software Development for Nokia responsible for leading software development teams working on next generation mobile platforms and multimedia messaging services. Previous to Nokia John held software management positions at Open Market, Aspect Telecommunications and Digital Equipment Corporation.John's current technical areas of interest are RFID and sensor networking, computer assisted collaboration, multimedia, mobile technology and software development processes and tools. John holds an MS in Computer Science from Iowa State University and BS Computer Science BA English from University of Iowa.
